one day, a white lady stopped a taxi to go somewhere with her son.
when they sat in da taxi, her son saw da taxi driver and began to ask his mom..
son : Mom, y is tat man black? Is he a bad guy?
(da taxi driver was shocked and looked at da rear mirror)
lady : No. He's not a bad person.
son : If he's not a bad person, then y is he black in color? Has he does something wrong that God made him black?
(da taxi driver was almost in tears but didnt make any sound and continued to hear da lady's explanation)
lady : No, my son.. He did nothing wrong that makes him a black man. Didnt he pick us up and send us safely to our destination?
son : Yes mom. (turned to the taxi driver) Uncle, thanx for sending us to our destination safely. God be with you always (smiled)
when they reached their destination, the taxi driver came down from the car and opened the door for da lady. He was in tears and shook da lady's hand saying " thanx madam. Thanx for making my day,"
well, da moral value of this story is not to be a racist... as everyone deserves a chance of living..
erm.. basically tat's wat i still remember bout da article.. as usual, i cried when i read da part how da lady explained to her child.. instead of da normal reaction tat we get in real life, she patiently explain tat everyone's equal despite their skin color.. ^^
